Nikki van Nik knew she would dedicate her life to art from a very young age . The years that followed did not distract from that knowing-they forged her for it. At 15, during financial strain in a family of 7 , she left school and walked into a salon asking when she could start . She began sweeping floors and washing hair , observing everything with deliberate attention. When a client insisted she be the one to do her hair, the result spoke for itself. Soon after , that same client , taken by her willingness to learn and eagerness to grow , recruited her into a high-performance sales role within the automotive industry - leading rooms most teenagers never step into.
Responsibility came early. Independence came faster. By 17, she has left home and built her own foundation , funding her studies through DJ and KJ live performance work . Stage presence , negotiation, human psychology - every chapter sharpened her.
Today, Nikki works across painting, sculpture, talismanic adornment, writing, music, and performance. Her paintings- known as frequency works- are created through meditation and intuitive dialogue, translating unseen emotional currents into form. Independent by design, she guards the integrity of her practice fiercely. Creation remains alive , unfiltered, evolving. It is what happens when a child who refuses to forget who she was builds her own world. And perhaps that is the quiet truth beneath all of it - the part of you that once knew who you were is still there, waiting to be trusted .
